Any updates to events made in the week before the event will be posted in red on the homepage of our website
(www.ccski.mb.ca).

Any updates to weekend
events made within 48 hours of the event will also be recorded on the
CCSAM office phone line at 925-5639. For events held at the Windsor Park Nordic Centre, contact
Windsor Park.
Membership

For insurance reasons, all entrants of a CCSAM-sanctioned race must be members of a CCSAM-registered
club (or a CCC member club, or hold a CCC or FIS race license). Non-members
must purchase a Supporting Membership / Day License by filling out a Participant Waiver Form in order to race.
The Supporting Membership / Day License fee is $5 per participant per
race ($4 for a Wednesday Night Race). The Participant Waiver Form
( PDF) will be at the race site, or you take a completed copy with you.

Manitoba Cup
points are awarded to event participants that are members of registered
CCSAM clubs.

2010 Roller Ski / Inline Skate Time Trial Series (posted
on August 25th)
The Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba will be staging a Roller Ski / Inline Skate Time Trial
Series again this fall (our 11th year). Sandi Kirby
will again be organizing it.
- 5 Saturdays: September 11th, September 18th, September
25th, October 2nd, and October 16th at 10:00 AM.
- Birds Hill Park. Meet at the parking lot along North Drive that is across from the Chickadee Trail
parking lot.
- 11K distance (one clockwise loop of North/South Drive).
- 10 second interval start. No drafting.
- $3 entry fee per race. Registration opens at 9:30 and closes at 9:45 sharp! The start order will be prepared at 9:45.
Inline skaters first, followed by roller skiers. All age categories are in effect.
- You must wear a certified helmet. Other safety equipment is recommended.
- In case of poor weather conditions, check the CCSAM website homepage at 8:30 AM on the day of the race for
cancellation or postponement.
- Series prizes
- Certificates of Achievement for those who complete all
five races in the series.
- Certificates for winners of their age category (one set for skiers, and one set for skaters).
- Cash. Of the total entry fees collected, ½ will be given to Jackrabbit ski programs, and the other ½
will be split equally between 4 winners: the male roller skier, female roller skier, male inline skater, and
female inline skater. The winners will be determined by including a master's handicap of 2 seconds per year.
CCSAM 2010 Annual General Meeting (posted
on August 25th)
- When: Saturday October 23rd from 10:30 to noon.
- Where: Sport
for Life Centre, 145 Pacific Ave at Lily St in the east Exchange.
Parking is on-street and in lots in the blocks around the building. Bicycle
parking is in a locked room located just inside the front doors of the
building. Many Winnipeg Transit routes run down Main Street, which is a 200m
walk away.
- What: Presentation of financial statements, presentation of directors' and clubs' annual
reports, election of the Board of Directors, and other business.

- Who: CCSAM staff and
directors, representatives from CCSAM-registered clubs, members from
CCSAM-registered clubs, and interested observers.
- Light refreshments will be served.
CCSAM Swap Shop (posted
on August 25th)
- Location: Windsor Park Nordic
Centre
- Drop-off of items to sell:
- Friday November 19th from 4:00 to 9:00 PM.
- CCSAM takes a 15% commission on all items sold. If need be, experienced volunteers will be on
hand to assist in pricing the items. Payment for sold items will be made by cheque, mailed within 30 days of the
sale.
- Photo ID must be shown when items are dropped off. This is a City of Winnipeg 2nd
Hand Dealer licensing requirement.
- All unsold items must be picked up between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Saturday
November 20th. Items will not be released without the claim receipt given out at the time of drop-off. Items
left after 5:00 PM will be donated to KidSport.)
- Sale:
- Saturday November 20th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Doors open at 9:00 AM sharp.
- The cost of entering the sale is $1 per person or $2 per family.
- Knowledgeable volunteer salespeople will be available to help buyers.
- Purchases can be paid for by cash, Interac, or Visa (no cheques or MasterCard).
- GST and PST is payable on new and used items.
- Purchasers must provide CCSAM with contact information at the time of purchase. This is
a City of Winnipeg 2nd Hand Dealer licensing requirement.
- Volunteers:
- Volunteers are needed for set-up and take-down, security, sales, and cashiering.
- Please contact Karin in the CCSAM office if you'd like to
volunteer.
